• Smathers & Branson is happy to accept returns or exchanges for any unworn or unused merchandise that isn’t monogrammed, special order, discontinued (final sale) or custom.
• Orders are eligible for exchange or store credit within 120 days of the order's ship date or a refund to the original form of payment within 45 days of the order's ship date.
• Only items purchased directly from our website are eligible for return & exchange.
• The cost of the return label will be calculated at checkout for exchanges or deducted from your refund or store credit.
• Credit or refunds will be processed three days after we receive the item back in our warehouse.
• Original shipping charges are not refundable.

Can I return a gift?
Yes. Gift returns can be processed through the portal — select “Return a Gift” at the start of the process.

How do Instant Exchanges Work?

• Select "Exchange" when starting your return
• Choose your replacement item right away
• Provide a credit card for a temporary authorization (you won't be charged as long as the original item is returned within 14 days)
• We ship your replacement right away
• You use the provided return label to ship back the original item within 14 days

What happens if I don’t send the original item back?

If your original item isn’t received within 14 days, your card will be charged for the cost of the replacement item.

What if I don’t want to do an instant exchange?

Prefer a refund or store credit? You can return your item for store credit or a refund to your original form of payment by selecting those options in the return portal.

Your existing Smathers & Branson belts can be extended by 1 or 2 inches, shortened to any size (odd sizes included), or refreshed with new leather tabs without changing the length. This service is $55 and can take up to three weeks from the time we receive the belt.

1) Use these measuring instructions to determine the most accurate belt size. It is always best to measure using one of the first two options.

2) Fill out our Tailoring Form and include payment information in the credit card section for a $55 fee. Please send the belt back without the wooden box. Occasionally, when shortening a belt, motifs may be partially or fully removed by the alternation. If you have a preference for which end of the belt to alter, please mention it on the form.

3) Mail the belt and Tailoring Form to the address below with the carrier of your choosing. Please do not include the wooden belt box. We recommend saving your tracking number.
