Smathers & Branson Dog Collar Sizing
Each collar is 1 inch wide and features a nickel plated 2.25’’ buckle.
Our collars are designed to fit medium-large breeds.
XS/S, L/XL and XL/XXL are special order sizes and can be made to order.
Option 1: Measuring Dog Collar Size with a Tape Measure
- Measure around the dog’s neck where the collar will sit. Put two fingers between the neck and tape measure to ensure there is room for a comfortable fit.
- Use this number to determine the best dog collar size.
Option 2: Measuring Dog Collar Size with an Existing Dog Collar
- Measure a prong buckle dog collar from the middle of the prong to the most worn hole.
- Use this number to determine the best dog collar size.
- Measure a clip buckle dog collar from the end of the female clip to the interlocking edge of the male clip.
- Use this number to determine the best dog collar size.
*Do not measure the overall length of an existing collar from tip to tip. This will result in a S&B collar that is too long.
